Support the Next Generation of Responsible Designers

At UX for Change, we believe that equitable and regenerative futures start with how we design today. That’s why we created the Responsible Design for Change Fellowship, a transformative learning experience for UX practitioners who want to challenge harmful systems and lead with care and impact.

But here’s the thing, some of the brightest, boldest changemakers out there are being held back by one pesky obstacle: money.
Yep, financial barriers are standing between them and the chance to level up. That’s where you come in! Help us open the door.

Khushbu

Future Regenerative Team Leader

Hi! I’m Khushbu, a Product Designer with 7 years of experience creating digital product experiences that truly serve people.

Since becoming a designer in 2011, I’ve been conscious of how design can impact the planet.

Through Cohort-2 of the Responsible Design for Change Fellowship, I gained a deeper understanding of how designing without responsibility can cause harm—not only to people and communities but also to the ecosystems around them, often in irreversible ways. During this fellowship, I learned the principles of responsible design and applied them to a project supporting domestic violence survivors.

Future individual Contributor

Hi, I’m Polina, and I was part of the first cohort of the Responsible Design for Good fellowship. It’s been a truly transformative experience. Through the fellowship, I learned and applied responsible design practices focused on supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

how does crowdfunding work?

UX for Change helps make the Fellowship more accessible by supporting your fees through creative crowdfunding.

Here’s how it works:

Every time someone contributes to your campaign, the Fellowship’s next monthly instalment is reduced.

It’s a supportive, community-powered way to support the Next Generation of Responsible Designers.

Watch this short video to learn how this crowdfunding works!
It explains how it reduces the Fellowship fees and how the monthly payment plan is set up.

Testimonials

This fellowship has strengthened my ability to push back on [clients that ignore research] and make sure we are designing for real people not just for those business goals and growth.

❖Jon Bennallick, Fractional Product & Design Consultant

The Fellowship has given me the chance to step into a more senior leadership role which is something that’s really beneficial to me going forward in my career. It’s helped me see the different ways in which we can enact goods and ethical design... a lot of framework and tools that I can use in my job going forward in my career.

Tara Janes, Senior Product Designer @ Publicis Sapient

Through the fellowship I learned about how to truly co-create without it just being an extractive process. The fellowship gives a lot of guidance on how to achieve designs by not just taking a systems thinking approach but how to consider a full ecosystem right from the beginning and how to think about ensuring that every element of your design process doesn’t inadvertently cause harm down the line
